Position Title Biology Laboratory Technician

Position Summary

The Biology Laboratory Technician prepares material and laboratory rooms for daily biology laboratory courses, stocks supplies and prepares media for class use. This position will also maintain microbiological cultures for classroom use and directs daily efforts of a staff of work-study students.

Job Duties


Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures. Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in applicable science.

Required Work Experience

One year in-lab technical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Graduate work or advanced degree. Two or more years in-lab technical experience.

Work Hours

Hours vary, depending on lab schedules. Occasional Saturday responsibilities.
